ChessQ privacy overview

This overview documents the product's current data flows. Before commercial launch, the site owner must add its legal identity, jurisdiction, retention periods, and production contact details.

A plain-language overview of the data ChessQ needs for accounts, training progress, social features, analytics consent, and game imports.

Account and training data

ChessQ stores account identifiers, password hashes, verification state, training preferences, repertoires, progress, puzzle attempts, imported games, review positions, lessons, and community activity needed to provide requested features.

Cookies and analytics

The product uses a secure session cookie for authentication. Product analytics is separate and remains disabled without an analytics service configuration and explicit consent. Advertising must remain disabled unless its required consent and publisher configuration are complete.

Third-party services

Lichess access is used only when a player initiates the relevant connection or import. Hosting, email, analytics, and advertising processors must be listed in the final production policy once selected.

Your choices

Users should be able to request access, correction, export, or deletion according to applicable law. Contact and response procedures must be completed with the production operator's legal details before launch.
